Great Weekend!

 Piper's face

We had an awesome weekend. It started off by our visit to the high risk doctor on Friday morning. Neither one of us look forward to going to this doctor because we usually leave upset. We left feeling blessed and thankful. We got to see sweet Piper and she is 3lbs 7oz! She is growing exactly like she should be and all of her measurements look good. The doctor looked at her face and seems to think that she will not have any facial abnormalities (which can happen to babies with AgCC). We have a 4D ultrasound on Friday so hopefully we will be able to see her face better. We decided that we are not going to do an amniocentesis because it will not change the way they treat her when she is born. It is only to determine whether or not her condition was caused by chromosomal abnormalities or infection. We are just going to wait until she gets here and go from there.

On Saturday, Justin had his head on my belly and was able to hear her heartbeat loud and clear. I thought this was a great early father's day gift for the dad to be. As you can see, he was very happy about it too.

Father's day was great, we had a great day at church and spent the afternoon listening to bluegrass music at the Chattanooga market. It's funny how things change, we spent most of the day checking out people's strollers and baby gear....

Only 65 more days to go!

  1. :) Glad everything went well. I declined an amnio when high risk offered me one as well. I will continue to pray for her and you girl! Hope to see you again soon. :)
